Having reconstructed their house, destroyed during the war, an older couple decides to go back to their village and continue where their life was violently interrupted. We follow their daily tribulation over the four seasons. From day to day, the old lady becomes more and more absent and lost. Her husband, instead of helping her, becomes ever more harsh and aggressive towards her. Finally, when he realizes that she is gravely ill, he changes his attitude completely. Unfortunately, it is too late.
