Summary:
The culinary and travel show Sweet Cookbook brings together our grandmas traditional recipes and the contemporary interpretations of pastry chef Petra Jelenić. In each episode, Petra visits a different region of Croatia famous for a sweet, finds the masters of the recipe and discovers the traditional way of preparing it and those small but very important secret steps in its making. Then, inspired by that tradition, by her encounters and by the natural beauty of the places she has visited, Petra goes to her kitchen and prepares a new take on the dessert. For the most part, she uses the same ingredients, but Petras sweets are a result of her perception of the flavors, colors, smells and shapes she experienced during her travels. And finally, her new dessert is tasted by the maker of the traditional version.
