Summary:
The housing issue is a documentary series that follows through eight episodes how politics and wars, directives and laws of the revolution and the transition, bureaucracy and administration affected the fate of the old and the new owners of apartments and houses - in short-our homes. These are stories of builders and destroyers, invaders and exiles, the winners and the vanquished, rich and poor, new rich and new poor, old and new tenants ... Each episode focuses on a family that has an address once had or still has a home, and now its their property burdened by some sort of legal or administrative proceedings. In some home floor plan is perhaps changed, the furniture is new, someone elses photos hang on the walls, or "load-bearing wall of what was a home has never been knocked down. In court, the land registry, registers, it is only cadastral plot, but each of these episodes and little history of our country. This is a series of "little people" and large systems that have conspired against them. Each story of home property is immersed in the historical context with most distinguished historians and chroniclers, and helped with valuable knowledge of curators of Croatian and European museums, archives and photo collection.
