Summary:
Since 2008, more than 250 bands have passed through Garage, holding live mini-concerts for a studio audience. The show hosts Croatian pop-rock, jazz, hip hop, reggae, ethno, and other performers, who, in addition to their performances, give brief interviews about their current and future projects. In each episode of Garage, bands play six to seven musical numbers, and the condition for applying to play is at least one published album. Throughout the six years of the show’s run, various musical trends and their representatives have been presented. The range of genres, subcultures, and subgenres that have passed through Garage is truly enormous! From punk (Diskurz, Fon Biskich i Narodno blago...), retro-New Romanticism (Boa), surf-rock (Bambi Molesters), ethno (Miroslav Evačić, Dunja Knebl, Kries, Afion, Franko Krajcar, Bruno Krajcar, Livio Morosin, Lidija Bajuk...), fusion/jazz (Joe & Maja Kolektiff, Borna Šercar & Jazziana Croatica, Marko Ramljak...), reggae and dub (St!llness), americana/alt-rock (My Buddy Moose), blues (Tony Lee King, Ivan Vragolovich, Robert Johnson s Backbone, Carl Reuter & The Harpoons, Nebojša Buhin Nebo, Smallhouse Brown, Greenhouse Blues Band), rock (Opća Opasnost, Hard Time, Sheitans, Vega, Čuvari svirala, Bare & Majke, Psihomodo pop...) to indie pop and all possible variations on rock (Pips, Chips & Videoclips, Svadbas, Detour, The Orange Strips, Quasarr, Overflow...), all the way to demo bands (Louder, Skroz Over, Cry Babies, Q-pack, and Azil).
