The Common People s Intimacy series, consisting of six 30-minute episodes, was filmed across Croatia and portrays the ever present social gender regulation, always dependant on local circumstances, thus pointing to the fact that this area can tell a lot about one s own culture and mentality. The authors; interest was not directed only at rural areas, but also on cities, and not only their past, but also their present. More accurately, two periods were analysed and compared; the first half of the 20th century and early 21st century. The scope was then broadened to insights of other ethnologists and common heritage investigators, as well as sociologists, linguists, lawyers, pharmacists and others. In addition to them, all the episodes feature common; people, of different age, sharing own experiences from the social regulation of gender relations now and then.
